Absolutely! Your FairSave is as secure as your FairMoney bank account. All transactions and account management are handled using 256-bit HTTPS SSL encryption. We are licensed by the Central Bank of Nigeria (CBN), and all deposits are insured by NDIC.
The main difference is that you earn money daily when you keep money in your FairSave, unlike your regular FairMoney account which would be your current account. The moment you credit your FairSave, you start earning money!
You earn an effective annualized interest rate of 10% on whatever amount you have deposited in your FairSave.
Interest is paid daily. Even though the interest on your FairSave is per annum, you are credited with the interest accrued on funds in your FairSave daily!
You effectively earn 10% interest annually. However, this is posted daily i.e, if you hold N100,000 for 365 days in your FairSave, you will end up with N110,000. Once you start accruing daily interest on your FairSave, you will be able to see clearly how much interest you are earning daily. The interest will be given on the standing balance of your FairSave.
All interest earned in FairSave is subject to 10% withholding tax, which can be seen and tracked in the transaction history of the app. This is deducted directly from interest earned - no action is needed on your behalf.
For now, to fund your FairSave, you need to move funds from your FairMoney bank account balance into your FairSave.
Saving is easy with FairSave! All you need to do is click on the “Enter FairSave” button when you open your FairSave and input how much you want to save. The money will be moved from your FairMoney bank account into your FairSave. If your FairMoney bank account is not sufficiently funded, you will be prompted to add money to your FairMoney bank account to continue.
No, you can only fund your FairSave through your FairMoney bank account. You can fund your FairMoney bank account by going to your FairMoney app and tapping, "Fund account."
You can withdraw from your FairSave anytime, no strings attached.
To withdraw from your FairSave: Click on the “Withdraw” button in your FairSave, input how much you want to withdraw, and click on continue. The amount inputted will be moved from your FairSave into your FairMoney bank account.
No, you can only withdraw to your FairMoney bank account. However, you can always transfer money from your FairMoney bank account to another bank account for free (you have 30 free transfers monthly).
The limit on how much you can save in your Fairsave is dependent on your bank account level. The higher your bank account level, the more you can save in FairSave. To increase your level, please contact our support team at help@fairmoney.ng.
FairSave will be available from version 8.70.0 of the FairMoney app. However, it is currently rolled out to customers who applied to be on the FairSave waitlist. Do not worry If you don’t have this feature yet on your FairMoney app, as we will be making it available to you very soon, and we will be sure to notify you when we do!
Earned interests below 0.01 Naira will not be displayed on the app. This, however, does not mean that your interest is not being accrued, it may just take a while before it is visible to you on the app.
FairLock is FairMoney’s fixed-term deposit product, where you can securely lock funds for a duration of time and earn interest on the funds. The funds and interest earned are automatically paid out once the term is completed.
We offer several FairLock plans, with different interest rates and term lengths. Interest rates can vary between 11 - 18% per annum, depending on the term length. You are free to choose the combination of term length and interest rate that best suits you.
There are no fees or charges to use FairLock. It’s completely free!
First things first, you’ll need to have some funds in your FairSave balance. If you don’t yet, you can easily do so by transferring money via your FairMoney bank account. Once you have funds in FairSave, simply navigate to FairLock Home, tap the “Create a deposit” button, input the amount you’d like to lock, and confirm. This will securely lock your funds in FairLock.
You can always check your ongoing plans on FairLock Home. Each plan tells you how many days are remaining and whether it is ready to withdraw. Tapping on each plan on FairLock Home takes you to your Plan Details Page, where you can read more about the time remaining, the exact date you can withdraw, and the interest you will earn once you complete the term.
Once your term is completed, the principal amount plus interest earned will be paid into your FairSave account. From there, you are free to use your interest however you wish!
Simply tap on each plan and navigate to the Plan Details Page. We calculate the interest earned upon plan completion for you. You can also tap on the Interest Overview component below the FairLock balance bar to see the breakdown of interest on your ongoing plans.
Your FairLock fixed deposit will be withdrawn automatically to your FairSave balance once your plan term is completed. No worries, we got you!
At the moment, it is not possible to withdraw your FairLock fixed deposit before the term is completed.
On FairLock Home, tap View Past Plans - this will take you to the Past Plans page, where you can view which plans have been paid out, as well as the details. Just tap on each plan to see the Plan Details Page for each.
It is not possible to add more funds to your existing FairLock fixed deposit. If you want to lock more funds, simply create a new FairLock fixed deposit plan.
Yes, it is possible to have multiple fixed deposit plans in your FairLock. Just tap on the Create new plan button to create one that suits your needs.
You will be getting 30 free transfers per month, after this is exhausted, you will be charged N18 per transfer.

To fund your FairMoney account:
- Log in to the latest version of the FairMoney app.
- You will see the ‘Add Money’ button on the upper-left-hand
corner of the home screen

- Select your preferred option to Fund your account by either
a bank transfer or a USSD transfer
- For bank transfer, copy your FairMoney bank account

You can perform a withdrawal from your FairMoney bank account by simply clicking on the Send Money button in the app, input the amount you wish to transfer, and then provide the bank account details you wish to send money to; you will now be prompted to authorise the transfer with your PIN.
You can access your transactions history via the Transactions tab on your FairMoney app. Click on the Transactions button in your FairMoney app to see all the debit and credit transactions that have occurred on your FairMoney bank account
Yes. You can transfer to any bank account in Nigeria directly from your FairMoney app.
To confirm the status of a transfer from your FairMoney bank account, you can check the app to see the status of your transfer, whether it is pending, successful, or failed. You will also get notified via SMS, email, and push notification on the app when your transfer is successful.
Your transfer may be temporarily withheld because it exceeds your FairMoney account limit. To unblock your funds and have your account upgraded, please send us any valid Government issued ID and a proof of address.

Yes. If you have made a transfer of your loan repayment into your FairMoney Sterling or Wema bank account, please note that this transfer will reflect on your app as a deposit into your FairMoney account. After the transfer has been successfully made to your FairMoney account, you will then receive a notification to login into your app to repay your loan. All you have to do is then click on the Repay Loan button, select the FairMoney account option to initiate your loan repayment via your FairMoney account. Your loan will be repaid instantly!
Yes, to request for a Top-up loan, kindly update your APP to the latest version, click on "Manage loan" on your APP home page. If you are eligible for a Top-up loan, you'll find it displayed for you to apply. If the offer is not available for you at the moment, please note that we're working on making it available for you as soon as possible.
Your loan will be paid into your FairMoney bank account.
To extend your loan, kindly log in to your APP and follow the steps highlighted below: Click on the Manage loan icon --- then the 'Extension' button --- Pick your desired days of Extension --- Make Payment as guided by the app. Please note that extending your loan attracts a fee . Also, you are to make payment of the amount stated and requested on the app because an underpayment or overpayment will not activate the extension.

In this case, kindly log into your FairMoney app, click on the card request icon which will take you to the next page and proceed to block your card.
All you need to do is download the FairMoney app, register and request for the FM card.
The FairMoney card currently issued is MasterCard.
